team.Job PurposeThe Sr Data Visualization Analyst role is part of
the Global Infrastructure Platform Operations (IPO) function. The
role will own and champion the advancement of our current reporting
capabilities and take it to the next level with others in the
team.Key Accountabilities
- Passionate about using data to improve outcomes and
demonstrates deep expertise in developing high impact,
user-friendly, innovative, and ethical BI and Reporting solutions
in PowerBI and Service Now
- A growth mindset, collaboration and quality are core to this
role
- Ensuring the quality of output is kept to a consistently high
standard
- Staying up to date on the latest technology developments &
embedding industry leading best practices, both technical and
methodology based
- Communicating effectively with a diverse set of teams and broad
stakeholder group
- Building and maintaining collaborative relationships with
peers, team members, subject matter experts and stakeholders (inc.
third parties to assess partnerships where applicable)
- Operate with a---curious and skeptical mindset---ensuring that
this is embedded in your everyday work
- Actively lead and embed a coaching culture---to get the best
out of others in an environment where everyone in the team feels
empowered to speak up or challenge where appropriate
- Excelling at selecting the right type of visual and dashboard
design to convey a story with data and allow business users to
extract insight from their data
- Proven experience at design and implement consistent design
patterns, palettes and layouts for dashboards and data
visualizations
- Able to demonstrate combining strong technical and creativity
skills, to come up with incredible user experiences
- Data modellingQualifications
- Requires Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science,
Engineering or related field or equivalent work experience
- 5-7 yrs exp in Microsoft PowerBI required
- 3+ yrs exp in ServiceNow analytics
- Experience in Snowflake is a plus
- Demonstrable creativity and innovation in approaching and
overcoming technical challenges
- Aptitude for analytics and identifying patterns within data to
generate business insight
- Data manipulation skills - manipulating and cleansing large
data sets to ensure that data meets standards and objectives
- A desire to understand business problems and to evaluate the
results in a business context
- Advanced visualized skills - for example the use of
Charticulator in Power BI
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the
ability to explain technical analysis to a non-technical
audience
- High degree of personal motivation, ability to self-manage
whilst being professional and personable
- Experience of solving issues and dealing with the uncertainty
that can arise in project situations, including having a tenacious
problem solving and can-do attitude
- Proven ability to adapt style of financial information
presentation to suit a range of stakeholders, both financial and
non-financial
- Able to adopt, explore and learn new technologies and
capabilities
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight timescales as
