Position Title: Inventory Control Analyst
- Billerica, MA
- Monday - Friday, No weekends
How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?
The Inventory Control Analyst is responsible for management of the material master files, approval of stock level requests and periodic review & maintenance of the MRP (Material Requirement Planning) settings in SAP for all cylinder gases. The Analyst is responsible for compiling data and providing analysis to Operations Management related to changes causing supply chain disruptions, customer branch re-assignments, production point manufacturing changes, regional shuttle changes, load leveling projects as well as branch merges and closures.
In particular, you will:
- Responsible for physical inventory oversight at all assigned locations by implementing safeguards to mitigate risk of loss from theft, obsolescence, or physical condition.
- Develops and maintains policies and procedures in partnership with purchasing and product management to ensure planning and control of inventory levels.
- Plans, coordinates and controls the annual physical inventories at each of the branch locations
- Researches, analyzes and evaluates significant differences between physical and perpetual inventories.
- Sustains accurate, consistent inventory through monitoring cycle count and inventory adjustment procedure system.
- Maintains a reporting system to quantify and categorize cycle count differences, and inventory adjustments so that errors can be identified, resolved and reported to finance on a consistent basis.
- Maintains a system of identifying and reporting slow moving, surplus and odd lot inventory
- Coordinates a systematic approach to the reduction of inventories including semi-annual branch profiling, vendor returns, branch transfers, special offers and liquidations.
- Coordinates the evaluation and design of inventory controls that ensure that inventory is properly reported upon receipt and shipment
- Maintains and updates daily add/change item request, rebate and special pricing requests
- Reviews and updates training documents as needed. Train new personnel. Schedules Branch visits and conference calls for compliance, training, and parameter reviews.
- Special projects and other duties as assigned.Are you a MATCH? - Bachelor's degree in procurement, inventory management or business related field. In lieu of degree requirement, may accept an equivalent amount of additional related work experience. - One year of prior inventory management/supply chain experience required. - Prior SAP experience a plus. - Proficient in Google suite applications and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel) as well as a demonstrated ability to utilize financial applications within ERP software (i.e. SAP, Oracle). - Strong knowledge of inventory accounting and gross margin principles. - Exceptional analytical, decision making, and organizational skills - Excellent understanding of materials management theory and practices. - Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills. - While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk and sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. - The employee is frequently required to talk and/or hear. - Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. - While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to a normal office environment.
