Senior Sales Incentive Compensation Analyst

Job Description:

To administrate sales incentive compensation plans, territory alignment and target management for multiple sales teams across the organization. Develop and maintain related key metric performance reporting. Act as subject matter expert for team.

Essential Functions

* Acts as team subject matter expert related to sales incentive compensation planning, territory management/ alignment, target management, sales incentive system maintenance and use and all related data and reporting.
* Monthly, based on existing approved sales incentive compensation plans, calculates and provides to finance an expense accrual for the quarter to date based on current sales trends and performance against objectives. This includes (i) creating model in excel or in sales incentive system that appropriately calculates sales incentive compensation as per plan, (ii) entry of or loading all required data, (iii) validation of calculations, (iv) production of final reports that meet SOX controls and (v) facilitation of the approval process.
* Quarterly based on existing approved sales incentive compensation plans calculates and provides to payroll an appropriate payout file by representative for the quarter based on final sales or reported completion of relevant objectives. This includes (i) creating model in excel or in Sales incentive system that appropriately calculates sales incentive compensation as per plan, (ii) entry of or loading all required data, (iii) validation of calculations, (iv) production of final reports that meet SOX controls and (v) facilitation of the approval process.
* Several times per year develops revised expense assumptions related to sales incentive compensation based on formal revenue forecast revisions or sales incentive plan changes. Consolidates plan for team and provides review to Sales Operations Manager.
* Drafts plan documentation related to changes in sales incentive compensation annually or as needed during the course of a year. Facilitates approval of plan and documentation. Ensures final delivery of documentation to representatives and tracks responses as needed. Develops engaging communication materials to support the rollout of the plan with field sales management and other participants that appropriately convey the incentive opportunity, means to track earnings and plan details.
* Meets with franchise leads, finance, human resources and legal to develop SIC plans for future periods, discuss required revisions to plan terms and conditions based on changes in regulation or policy and address special circumstances related to SIC payout. Produces models for future period plans as requested by management.
* Provides regular and ad hoc reporting for sales leadership or sales operations management related to sales performance. Participates in the development of business requirements for new system generated reports and tests accuracy of report prior to formal production roll out. Maintains subject matter expertise of any sales incentive systems and helps management drive configuration or development items with vendor.
* Participates as representative of sales operations in ERP project planning and implementation team as needed. Participates in meetings, providing expertise related to requirements and participates in implementation and testing.
* Facilitates updates to territory alignment and targets several times per year. Prepares required files and works with IT to ensure alignment is loaded to appropriate systems for use in reporting. Participates and supports projects related to territory alignment and targeting.
* Maintains current knowledge of and ensure all functional work activities are conducted in compliance with the full range of related internal and external systems, technology, regulatory requirements and related policies and procedures.
* Actively promotes safety rules and awareness. Demonstrates good safety practices at all times including the appropriate use of protective equipment. Reports and takes initiative to correct safety & environmental hazards.
* Actively demonstrates the Lantheus values of accountability, quality, efficiency, customer service, collaboration and safety.

Typical Minimum Skills and Experience and Education

* BA/BS degree with 7+ years experience in sales incentive compensation or equivalent.

Other Requirements

* Non routine travel based on business need.
* Experience in mid-size pharmaceutical company with active commercial sales preferred.
* Excellent excel skills required.
