Basic mechanical skills will be required to setup testing fixtures, operate devices under test, and operate test machinery. Proficiency in Microsoft office products is required to review & produce test related documentation including test logs, test reports, and reviews. Basic knowledge of MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, and / or other related military and commercial standards is preferred.While performing duties of this job the test technician will be required to walk, stand, climb stairs, balance, kneel or crouch, and lift object more than 25lbs. Vision abilities required include close & distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focusing.Primary Duties and Responsibilities:Support a wide range of Environmental (ENV) and Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) testing by precisely following and executing test procedures while maintaining a detailed log of events.Participate in Test Readiness Reviews and Post-Test Result Reviews. Provide "lessons-learned" output summaries to product development engineers to help improve future designs to meet qualification standards and requirementsSupport the generation of test reportsHelp to coordinate and maintain scheduling of test events based on high level project schedulesBe comfortable firing or being around weaponsMinimum Qualifications:Education Required/ Preferred: AA, AS, or BS Degree preferred Experience Preferred: Experience in a test lab environment is preferredDemonstrated knowledge in use of shakers, thermal chambers, and setup of test instrumentationSkills/Qualifications: Must be able to obtain a government clearanceWorking knowledge of military or commercial standardsSkills/Competencies: Mastery of Microsoft office focusing on Word and ExcelGood technical writing skillsExperience with SolidWorks is a plusConfluence & SAP Experience is a plusContribute to maintaining a clean and organized workspace / labApplicants must be either a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, legal permanent resident, asylee, refugee or must be eligible to apply for and obtain the appropriate export control license from the U.S. Departments of State or Commerce.
