Assists in incident response activities including researching attempted or successful efforts to compromise systems security and designs countermeasures. Works with operational groups to establish standards and policies for maintaining hardware, software, network firewalls, & encryption protocols. Monitors effectiveness of security policies to control physical and virtual access to systems. Identifies, designs, & monitors solutions to automate recurring processes.Provides information to management regarding the negative impact on the business caused by theft, destruction, alteration, or denial of access to information and systems. Recommends plans and manages steps necessary to improve cybersecurity. Coordinates internal or external functions to provide security, testing, or other professional services.Primary Duties &Responsibilities:Monitor and advise on cybersecurity issues related to the systems and company network to ensure the cybersecurity controls for the campuses are appropriate and operating as intended.Operate vulnerability management program and coordinate patch management efforts.Coordinate and execute IT cybersecurity projects.Coordinate response to cybersecurity incidents.Identify cybersecurity processes and procedures that may benefit from automation.Develop automation mechanisms to improve recurring processes.Review logging sources and data to identify gaps in coverage.Analyze log data to identify risks to the operating environment and business.Develop and publish cybersecurity policies, procedures, standards, & guidelines based on knowledge of best practices and compliance requirements.Conduct security assessments and manage remediation plans.Collaborate with IT management, legal, contracts, & HR departments to manage cybersecurity issues.Create, manage, & maintain user security awareness.Perform other related duties as assigned.Job Qualifications:CISSP Certification is required for this role. Also required is specific experience with at least one of the following technologies, Palo Alto Traps, Cortex XDR, and/or Digital Guardian.Minimum 5 years of related experience with a Bachelors degree; or 3 years and a Masters degree; or a PhD no work experience.Broad technical knowledge, extensive knowledge of current and upcoming IT security technologies and techniques that cover all levels of IT architecture, including those that affect business processes, data, applications, & networked systems infrastructure, as well as their effects on a diverse computing environment and a passion to stay abreast of emerging technologies.Experience with TCP/IP networking, DNS, Linux, OS X, Windows, & application security.Experience establishing & maintaining relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization, in the business community, & with vendors.Knowledge of networking and security technologies such as, IPSEC, VPN, routers, switches, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention, & data leakage.Strong knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, & BASH.Knowledge of latest security technologies and standards.Design, development, & testing of secure IT solutions.Well organized, detail oriented, & able to multi-task.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Collaborative problem solving and ability to work closely with others.OtherQualifications:Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification.Knowledge of the various industry and government regulatory standards and control frameworks, including US NIST SP800-53 & SP800-171, CMMC, CMMI, UK Cyber Essentials, ISO 27001/2, & PCI-DSS 3.2.1.Knowledge of information security principles, including risk assessment and management, threat and vulnerability management, incident response, and identity and access management.Experience in developing, documenting, and maintaining security policies and procedures.Knowledge of network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and associated network protocols.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a significant focus on attention to detail.Proven ability to work under stress in emergencies, with the flexibility to handle multiple high-pressure situations simultaneously.Ability to work well under minimal supervision.Strong team-oriented interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface effectively with a broad range of people and roles, including vendors and IT-business personnel.Knowledge of business continuity planning, auditing, & risk managementPKI implementation and PK enablement of applicationsApplicants must be either a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, legal permanent resident, asylee, refugee or must be eligible to apply for and obtain the appropriate export control license from the U.S. Departments of State or Commerce.FLIR and all of our employees are committed to conducting business with the highest ethical standards.
