• Employment Type: Local ContractJob Title: Full Time CT TechnologistJob Summary:Under the direction of the Radiologist and CT Supervisor, the CT Technologist performs CT procedures following department protocols, requiring independent judgment and technical expertise. This role includes advanced imaging techniques such as interventional cases, CT Angiography, and 3D reconstruction, ensuring patient safety and compliance with ALARA principles. The position requires administering IV, oral, and rectal contrast and contributing to department coverage 24/7 as needed.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Acquire scans per radiologist and department protocol.
  • Provide patients with exam information and instructions for cooperation.
  • Assist radiologist during interventional procedures.
  • Schedule inpatients and prioritize emergency department patients while considering outpatient needs.
  • Review IV Contrast Questionnaire for patients receiving IV Contrast.
  • Document procedures in Epic EMR and verify exams in PACS before submission to the radiologist.
  • Maintain patient safety and comply with HIPAA guidelines.
  • Support department coverage beyond scheduled hours, including on-call, holidays, and weekends.
  • Complete required learning, competencies, and CEUs.
  • Follow dress code policies and uphold professionalism in the workspace.Job Requirements:Knowledge and Skills:
    • Familiarity with CT Scan software (GE and Siemens preferred).
    • Knowledge of PACS software (McKesson Change Healthcare preferred).
    • Experience with Electronic Medical Record systems (Epic preferred).
    • Expertise in patient preparation, positioning, and scan acquisition.
    • Ability to identify anatomy, pathology, and contrast enhancement in imaging.
    • Commitment to reducing radiation exposure for patients and staff.
    • Understanding of daily QA procedures for CT equipment, including troubleshooting issues.Education and Experience:
      • Current ARRT certification (required).
      • NH Imaging License (required).
      • BLS Certification (required).
      • CT Scan experience (preferred).
      • Degree or certificate from an accredited radiologic technology program (preferred).Work Environment:
        • Professional healthcare setting with moderate noise levels.
        • Requires adherence to safety protocols and equipment maintenance.
