Manager, Forecasting and Commercial Analytics

Job Description:

Purpose: Key contributor to a team that provides strategic business insights to Lantheus' Commercial leadership and Executive teams. The Senior Manager, Forecasting and Commercial Analytics will have responsibility for forecasting and related assumption development/validation in support of key Lantheus brands and/or pipeline opportunities. He/she will provide objective, comprehensive in-depth insights to the organization about current and future market trends, product performance, customers and competitors.

Essential Functions

  • Develop and manage complex revenue forecast models in support of company's short-term and long-term planning
  • Synthesize information from disparate sources (sales data, market research, syndicated reports, secondary research) to track forecast accuracy and continually inform and update forecast
  • Effectively explain modeling assumptions to key stakeholders including senior leadership via oral and written communication
  • Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Corporate Development, Supply Chain and other relevant stakeholders to communicate forecast numbers and context clearly and effectively throughout organization as needed
  • Perform ad-hoc quantitative analyses (scenario planning, sub-national deep dives, risk/opportunity characterizations, etc.) as needed
  • Connect brand lead and other members of the Commercial Leadership Team to relevant sales and market data through key metrics reporting and data visualization techniques
  • Manage vendor relationships with external consultants and data partners in support of commercial objectives
  • Conduct market assessments for pipeline products in support of business development and R&D (epidemiology, primary and secondary research, revenue forecast development)

Essential Capabilities/Competencies

  • Experience developing and maintaining Excel-based revenue forecast models and conducting related quantitative analysis
  • Experience with patient or procedure based revenue forecast model in the pharmaceutical/healthcare space
  • Strong analytical skills combined with a client service mindset with the capability to define and execute data-driven approaches to solving business questions
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically to drive key business decisions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: ability to communicate effectively with key commercial stakeholders as well as cross-functionally
  • Ability to develop understanding of how senior management thinks and makes decisions
  • High degree of intellectual curiosity
  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical market research

Minimum Skills, Experience and Education


  • Minimum of BA/BS is required. 4-6 years of experience working in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry with 3+ years in pharmaceutical or diagnostic imaging forecasting
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical syndicated data


  • Experience with prostate cancer and/or diagnostic imaging
  • Consulting experience with forecasting, market research or business analysis firms
  • Experience with opportunity assessments for early-to-mid stage assets
  • Experience with managing vendor relationships (developing requests for proposals, soliciting competitive bids, managing activities of the outside partner, etc.)
