Working closely with process engineering and production, the Industrial Engineer will create and validate capacity models for every equipment type, lead maintenance of master data in ERP system as well as MS excel based capacity models. The candidate will be responsible for identifying bottlenecks and recommending process improvements and/or new capital requests. The Industrial Engineer will drive efficiency improvements in the factory. In this role you willMaintain and update master data in ERP system, MES and capacity models to aid production Immediately drive manufacturing cycle time reduction projects for your area/s Candidate will lead and implement projects to improve operational efficiency and deliver savings which support corporate objectives of on-time delivery, productivity, scrap reduction, etc.Work with teams to identify problems, analyze information and develop and implement process solutionsTime study critical (bottleneck) processes and build capacity models for your area/sTime study all processes and build capacity models for essential equipment'sDevelop and validate capacity models to predict equipment quantities to meet technology rampsDevelop Value Stream Maps to improve material, process, and communication flowsSupport the implementation of lean manufacturing processes, continuous improvement, standard work, problem solving, value stream mapping, training, and employee involvementResponsible for managing the layout of your area/s within manufacturing facility Support and manage KPI's (Key Performance Indicator) for operationsTraits we believe make a strong candidateExcellent communication skills to clearly communicate ideas to all levels within the organization Experience with ERP system (SAP) is a plusAbility to lead teams and implement projects through continuous improvement initiatives, such as Lean or Six Sigma (DMAIC) with hands-on application - engaging floor practitionerExperience in implementing Lean systems at the plant level (e.g. 6S, Kaizen events, line balancing, Kanban systems, and Value Stream Mapping)Experience with time and motion studies; capacity modelling Routinely works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires in-depth evaluation of factors.
