Job Scope & Purpose:

Our Cambridge based client is in need of Proteomics Principal RAor Scientist to join their team. Mass spectrometry is the key skillour client is looking for and experience industry veterans at theBS/MS level, or experienced PhDs will be considered for thisopening. Primary Job Responsibilities:

Independently design, develop and perform relevant assays andbiological experiments to interrogate function and cellulartracking

Accurately record, analyze, and present data to team and companyleadership

Collaborate across functional teams to efficiently drivetherapeutics to the clinic

Enrich and quantify post-translational modifications forquantitative proteomics analysis

Work with collaborators, both internal and external, toeffectively generate data and communicate results to the company’ssenior leadership

Proactively evaluate new technologies, be versed with currentliterature, and implement new methods into the mass spectrometryassay/analytical pipeline as necessary

Primary Job Requirements:

B.S. or M.S. in biology, biochemistry, pharmacology, or relatedfield with 8+ years of industry experience or a PhD in biology,biochemistry, pharmacology, or related field

Experience in using mass spectrometry to perform biologicalexperiments, e.g., mammalian cell culture, proteomics samplepreparation, and gel fractionation for mass spectrometryexperiments

Pluses: Whole proteome analysis, affinity purification tandemmass spectrometry, immunoprecipitation, and multiplexed sample;automated liquid handlers for high-throughput sample preparation;or biophysical characterization of protein/ligand complexes aplus
