Job Description:

Job Summary:The Software Quality Engineer will be responsible for planning and executing software testing activities of implant/instrument design software applications for Conformis' patient-specific orthopedic implants. As part of the software team, this position works across functions with both the software development and the implant design departments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain strong internal working relationships across Conformis.
• Understand the objectives, responsibilities, and mission of the Software Development department and work towards those goals.
• Prioritize and plan work activities; adapt for changing conditions.
• Act as an effective hands-on member of a cross-functional team who is directly involved in the application development life cycle.
• Work as part of software quality assurance to test and validate new implant design software releases.
• Train with implant design team to gain detailed understanding of design processes for different implant products and user requirements.
• Develop test strategies.
• Perform functional, beta, and ad-hoc testing based on implant design procedures.
• Execute step-by-step test protocols and scripts.
• Accurately document results per Quality Systems.
• Assist with generating new test scripts.
• Troubleshoot and debug defects with development teams.
• Plan and implement test software environments.
• Generate 3D and other post-processing images from diagnostic CT, MRI, and other data sources using commercial and research software and computers.
• Other responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in an FDA regulated enviornment
  • B.S. or equivalent degree in a technical or science-related field.
  • 1-4 years' experience in computer programming, software testing or use of 3D CAD modeling software a plus. Skills, Abilities, Competencies Required:
