Job Description:

Burlington Lumber Company is seeking a reliable and customer-oriented Cashier/Stocker to join our team. As a Cashier/Stocker, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, processing transactions accurately, and maintaining the store's inventory.Greet customers and provide them with a positive shopping experience Provides customer support to walk in retail or contractor customersAssists with product selection, purchases, and phone inquiriesStocking and maintaining a clean, organized shopping environment Product price maintenance Inventory management Advise customers in selection of building material supplies and related materials Estimates date of delivery to customer based on stocking levels and delivery schedules Enters new customer information into POS system, Bistrack Act as liasion with shipping and receiving staff to help coordinate deliveries Assist with loading and unloading lumber and building materials as necessary Minimum Requirements: High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)Experience in retail and/or independent retailer side of the building materials businessExperience with Point-of-Sale software systemsStrong communication skills Strong computer skills Attention to detailMust be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds and occasionally up to 75 pounds Ability to be on feet for 8 hour shiftSome local travel required, no overnight travel Job Type: 40+ Hours per week with occasional Saturdays; Full Time Position; Day Shift Company Benefits: Excellent medical and dental insurance plansPaid holidays and time off 401K ProgramArlington Coal & Lumber provides equal employment opportunities to all qualified individuals without regard to race, color, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, pregnancy, age, national origin, physical or mental disability, military or veteran status, genetic information, or any other protected classification.
