Job Description:

Central Vermont Medical Center, a prime component of the University of Vermont Health Network, is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team. This role is instrumental in providing key therapeutic services aimed at improving patient mobility, function, and independence, thus enhancing their overall quality of life. In this position, you will leverage your skills and knowledge to plan, evaluate, and execute personalized therapy programs, all while adhering to high standards of patient care and integrating new clinical practices for better outcomes. Evaluate patients' condition and needs to develop an effective treatment plan. Help individuals improve their ability to perform tasks in their daily living and working environments. Use treatments to develop, recover, or maintain the daily living skills of their patients. Recommend changes in patients' living environments, consistent with their needs and capabilities. Educate patients and family members about strategies for coping with disability. Document patient activities and progress. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to plan and review treatment programs. Strong interpersonal and communication skills In-depth knowledge of therapeutic techniques and treatments Experience with adaptive devices Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary health setting Strong organizational and analytical skills Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist NBCOT certification preferred
