Cynet Health to find a qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Attleboro,
Massachusetts, 02703! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession:

License: Must hold state nursing license Certifications: ACLS,
AWHONN Beginner, BLS, NRP Must-Have: Previous charge experience
preferred Description: The Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse will
work on a 15-bed unit. The unit follows inpatient rooming with
infants. All infants will stay in rooms with their mothers. Newborn
nursery care will be utilized when needed for infants. The position
involves patient age groups from neonates to adults. Weekend
coverage is required every other weekend. The nursing staff will
utilize the OMNICELL medication system. Communication within the
team will follow the SBAR format. The nurse will be involved in
antepartum, triage of obstetrical patients, and performing sterile
vaginal exams. Skills in drawing venous blood and starting and
maintaining IVs are essential. Knowledge of medications, including
terbutaline and magnesium sulfate therapy, is required. Experience
with labor, delivery, and recovery procedures is necessary. The
nurse will assist in vaginal deliveries and C-sections. Care for
postpartum mothers includes assessment of fundus, lochia, and
perineum. Support for breastfeeding and lactation is expected. The
position requires knowledge and skills in neonatal assessment and
care. Candidates must have experience with the use of electronic
fetal monitoring. Familiarity with infant identification and
metabolic screening is important. Skills in infection control and
adherence to safety protocols are necessary. The role involves
collaboration with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive
patient care. Willingness to support education for new parents is
