ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Telemetry Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Portland, Maine. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Telemetry - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Tele Job Details: • Work 12-hour shifts: 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM • Guaranteed 36 hours per week • Every other weekend schedule • No call requirements • Float as needed to other units • Minimum 2 years of acute care experience required with recent high acuity experience • BLS certification required • Must complete online education modules • Patient ratios: 1:4-5 during days, 1:5-6 during nights • Work with high-acuity patients including cardio and medical telemetry cases • Handle complex equipment including IVs, PCA pumps, epidurals, Ketamine drips, wound vacs, specialty beds, central lines, PICCs, chest tubes, and more • Manage patients with complex wounds, burns, trauma, tube feeding, and various drains • Use EPIC electronic medical record system • Must be quick learner, team player, flexible, adaptable, and accountable • Scrubs of any color permitted in fragrance-free unit • No AirPods/headphones, hoodies, open-toe shoes, or gel polish allowed Facility: This healthcare organization operates a fast-paced, high-acuity medical surgical telemetry unit featuring 44 beds with overflow capacity and an embedded 6-bed intermediate care unit.
