Genetic Counselor Assistant (Center for Fetal Medicine and Reproductive Genetics, Full-Time, 40 hours, Days)Job SummaryUnder the supervision of the genetic counseling team, the genetic counseling assistant provides specialized support to the genetic counselors and program physicians.Responsibilities include:

• Managing lists of genetics patients and monitoring pending clinical work-ups.
• Reviewing schedules for prenatal genetic visits and serving as a liaison with referring providers.
• Developing and maintaining reproductive genetic counseling services.
• Collaborating with laboratories, clinicians, and other staff regarding testing and referrals.
• Supporting research and educational projects.QualificationsEducation: Bachelor's Degree in Biology or Genetics preferred.Experience: 1-2 years working with patients or in a medical office setting preferred.Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of medical terminology, community resources, organizational skills, and strong communication and customer service skills.Physical Requirements
