Role:We are seeking a Postdoctoral Scientist to join the
Translational Oncology group at EMD Serono. The successful
candidate will work in our state-of-the-art EMD Serono Research &
Development Institute located in Billerica, MA, in close
collaboration with Oncology biomarker and drug discovery labs. The
individual will study cellular responses to DNA damage using novel
small molecules in clinical development. This two-year position,
with optional extension, offers the opportunity for a talented
scientist to gain industry experience while working at the
forefront of cancer research.Who You Are:Minimum Qualifications:*
PhD in Molecular, Cell, Cancer Biology, or other Life Sciences
discipline* 1+ first author publications in high-quality,
peer-reviewed journals* 3+ years'' experience in basic molecular
and cellular biology techniques, including 2+ of the following:
western blotting, flow cytometry, ELISA, qRT-PCR, cell
proliferation/apoptosis assaysPreferred Qualifications:* Expertise
in the areas of DNA damage repair pathways, cell-cycle regulation,
and/or mechanisms of cell death* Experience with gene
knockout/knockdown techniques* Familiarity with live cell imaging
or high content image analysis* Well organized, with the ability to
multitask and maintain detailed records of experimental work*
