Sciences is seeking an accomplished and strategic Associate
Director, Factory Product to lead the delivery of critical
automation initiatives across our life sciences ecosystem. In this
high-impact leadership role, you will drive end-to-end execution of
complex technical programs, spanning automated biological
workflows, cross-functional team coordination, and resource
orchestration.You'll partner closely with scientific and automation
leaders, and product stakeholders to ensure that innovative,
high-throughput solutions are implemented efficiently, robustly,
and at scale. This role demands a unique blend of strategic
foresight, deep technical expertise, and operational excellence in
laboratory automation systems and biological process
optimization.
- Lead Product Management: Drive automation workflows for life
sciences, translating experimental goals into actionable
plans.
- Collaborative Solutioning: Partner with scientific, AI, and
automation teams to design workflows that optimize performance and
meet research needs.
- Optimize Production: Oversee production timelines and resource
utilization, ensuring high-quality, scalable workflows.
- Data-Driven Decisions: Monitor performance metrics, analyze
trends, and implement strategies to boost workcell capacity and
operational efficiency.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Prioritize and align projects
across teams to meet business objectives, ensuring timely,
efficient delivery.
- Risk & Compliance: Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring
adherence to regulatory standards and continuous process
improvements.
- Continuous Improvement: Address process deviations through root
cause analysis, corrective actions, and performance tracking.What
You'll Need to Succeed
- Relevant Experience: Proven experience in life science, lab
automation, software, and data engineering-delivering
high-throughput workflows and automating processes.
- Scientific Expertise: Strong understanding of molecular
biology, protein engineering, cell biology, and cell-free
expression systems.
- Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration: Ability to engage with
diverse teams (e.g., AI, software engineering, and life sciences)
and communicate technical concepts across disciplines.
- Automation & Robotics: Hands-on experience with liquid handling
robots, high-throughput protein purification, and laboratory
automation.
- Analytical & Technical Proficiency: Expertise in data analysis
and the ability to use insights to drive decision-making; Python
experience a plus.
- Leadership & Influence: Strong communication skills with a
track record of motivating and collaborating across teams without
direct management authority.
- Project Management: Proven ability to lead complex projects
from conception to execution, delivering results on time and within
scope.
- Process Optimization: Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or
similar methodologies to drive operational improvements.
- Working knowledge of scripting/programming languages used in
