ABOUT THE ROLE: The Shared Services Accounting Manager position directs credit and collections, accounts payable, payroll, and intercompany balances across all Unites States entities while driving continuous improvement and standardizing best practices. ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage the AR, AP and Payroll teams to achieve corporate financial targets and continuous improvement of processes and procedures. Simplify, standardize and implement best practices throughout the US finance organization that leverage existing and new technologies. Support the management of net working capital by establishing AR and AP targets and drive improvement initiatives, measured by KPIs. Manage payroll staff ensuring accurate and timely payment to employees while maintaining compliance with company policies, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements Develop and maintain all tasks necessary to accomplish the company's payroll processing objectives, including relationships with internal and external auditors, state and federal agencies Supervises the balancing of intercompany accounts across all business units monthly --- Develop and mentor shared services team, creating a unified team across all ERP platforms Manage the AR team, including day to day cash applications, oversight of customer balances, inter-company process, and investigation of outstanding balances. What you Need: Strong technical knowledge of commonly used payroll concepts, practices and procedures, including fair labor standards, prevailing wage decisions, certified payroll reporting and worker's compensation accounting Team player, with strong leadership skills, who can operate effectively within a matrix management environment; mentor and develop Shared Services staff Excellent consultative and communication skills (written & oral) and ability to interface effectively with all levels of employees/management and effectively disseminate information Superior analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated ability to provide creative solutions to real-time challenges Develop and mentor shared services team, creating a unified team across all ERP platforms Ability to recognize process improvement opportunities and execute plans to achieve improvement Education and Experience QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance Minimum of 5 years' experience in a shared services leadership role. Proficiency with Microsoft products, primarily Excel and Outlook. Experience with Oracle NetSuite a plus. Experience with multicurrency environment.
