The Entegris Manufacturing site in Billerica, Massachusetts is
currently seeking 2 Operations Managers to join our growing
The new Operations Managers will be responsible for collaborating
with and providing leadership to our Manufacturing and Operations
groups. Primary responsibilities will include ensuring all orders
sent to manufacturing are processed according to customer
expectations and that all resources are allocated correctly.
Demonstrated agility and desire to build and support a diverse team
is a huge part of this role. The ideal candidate will also come to
Entegris with a strong focus on safety, service, and quality.
In this role you will:
Coordinate successful execution of production orders by defining
equipment and employee schedules, defining priorities, and ensuring
consistent workflow between shifts.
Be accountable for the safety, quality, cost, throughput, and
delivery of assigned manufacturing operations. This will include
metrics tracking for the aforementioned areas.
Ensure production operates in accordance with Environmental Health
and Safety (EHS) requirements. Cultivate a culture of commitment to
safety excellence while ensuring that all plant operations are done
responsibly (this includes maintaining a clean and safe work area
and wearing Personal Protective Equipment as needed). Ensure
compliance with legal and environmental safety standards.
Track and manage delivery performance. Manage resources to ensure
that the site has enough capacity to achieve required production
volumes. Ensure ongoing improvement in product quality metrics
(i.e., Corrective Action Requests, Quality Notifications, and audit
results) through effective leadership of team
Coach and mentor staff on Lean & Six Sigma tools. Sponsor Lean
events. Implement the appropriate measures (metrics/Supply Chain
Operations Reference) to drive continuous improvements and best
Champion use of CI tools to drive plant improvement and develop and
implement strategic initiatives relative to inventory, capacity
utilization and growth opportunities
Guide and support new product transition activities from
engineering to volume production in area
Continuously review processing schedules and production orders in
order to educate decisions regarding staffing, work procedures and
assignments, while considering budgetary limitations and time
Review operations and confer with technical/administrative staff to
resolve production or processing problems
Ensure continuous flow of information to supervisors, coworkers,
and direct reports regarding needed adjustments to manufacturing
conditions in order to meet demand
Work with a sense of urgency that enables production schedules to
be safely met while minimizing unnecessary costs related to
downtime, labor, material variances, or quality issues
Lead through continuous collaboration, motivation, and influence,
providing recognition and constructive feedback to employees when
Ensure effective training resources are provided to all new and
current manufacturing employees; directly assist in training when
Complete miscellaneous tasks as assigned in support of the larger
organization and production goals
Traits we believe make a strong candidate:
Administration and Management : Knowledge of business and
management principles involved in strategic planning, resource
allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique,
production methods, and coordination of people and resources
Personnel and Human Resources : Knowledge of principles and
procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, training and
personnel information systems.
Engineering and Technology : Knowledge of the practical application
of engineering science and technology. This includes applying
principles, techniques, procedures and equipment to the design and
production of various goods and services. Demonstrated experience
with equipment and process qualification and scale up.
Other : Experience in cleanroom operations and/or biopharmaceutical
operations and SAP preferred but not necessary. Demonstrated
experience with equipment and process qualification and scale up.
Experience in SAP preferred. Ability to perform job tasks,
including lifting, using ladders, and climbing stairways
Excellent communication, planning, organization, and leadership
Flexibility to continuously adapt to growing and changing work
environment, work force, and customer needs.
Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering or Management field
8-10+ years of experience in Manufacturing/Operations, with at
least 5 of those years ideally in a supervisory or leadership
Previous experience in one of the following roles or something
similar within a manufacturing environment could mean you'd be a
great fit: Cell Lead, Cell Manager, Manufacturing Manager,
Production Supervisor, Site Manager, etc.
