mission.The Engineer III will work with scientists or engineers in
the process development team, under guidance or independently, to
design, optimize and scale up processes with a focus on
purification development. Additionally, the position will support
tech transfer of developed/locked downstream processes to pilot
team and CMOs, and technology innovation
programs.ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Work with departmental and/or cross functional peers to execute
on assignments, under limited supervision.
- Prepare experimental protocols.
- Contribute to project work which may include multiple projects
within functional area.
- Interpret data independently, and contribute to technical
reports
- Identify complex technical issues, and implement solutions
under guidance
- Contribute to the design of new applications/experiments/unit
operations in consultation with supervisor.
- Support technology transfer through writing and consolidating
technical documents.
- Coordinate within department and cross functionally with peers
on projectsEDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:Required:
- Associate's degree in chemistry, biology, pharmacy, engineering
or related pharmaceutical science and 4+ years relevant industry
experience
- Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, pharmacy, engineering
or related pharmaceutical science; 2+ years relevant industry
experience
- Master's degree in chemistry, biology, pharmacy, engineering or
related pharmaceutical science; 0+ years relevant industry
experience
- Previous experience working in lab setting or Master's degree
plus appropriate laboratory trainingKnowledge and Skills:
- Analytical -Able to troubleshoot critical issues or problems
and resolve routine issues using appropriate information.
- Teamwork -- Ability to work within department groups/team.
- - Expresses one's self clearly and concisely within function;
documents issues and/or concerns concisely with colleagues; timely
and effectively communicates issues to supervisor
- Organization - Exercises good time management skills
- Technical - Proficient in use of applicable lab equipment and
operationsTRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
- May require approximately 5% travel.LINE FUNCTION SPECIFIC
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have experience with purification technologies (e.g.
Chromatography, filtration, UFDF etc);
- Must have experience with purification process development at
different lab scales
- Experience with design on experiment (DOE) is plus
- Occasionally work on weekends/holidays for lab supportWHAT
