Process Engineer is responsible for working with internal and
external manufacturing teams to develop, qualify, and implement
improvements in cost, quality, and/or efficiency. This position is
a hands on role working directly with both E Ink---s internal
manufacturing teams and external partners to address technical
issues critical to sustaining production. As a member of E Ink---s
Operations Engineering team, this candidate will interact with
functional areas including: development, supply chain,
manufacturing, and quality to ensure success. Responsibilities and
Duties -- Support continuous improvement and qualification efforts
to improve safety, cost, quality, cycle time, and operability --
Support troubleshooting investigations of out-of-control, or
out-of-spec, materials and processes -- Design, execute, analyze,
and summarize studies critical to the identification of root
cause(s), improving manufacturing control and efficiency -- Serve
as key technical liaison for critical manufacturing partners -- Use
statistical process and quality control techniques (SPC & SQC) to
monitor processes and drive improvements with internal and external
manufacturing teams -- Support internal and external audits to
identify improvement opportunities Required skills, knowledge and
abilities: -- BS degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or
material science -- 3 - 7 years of experience in chemical process,
manufacturing, or development -- Ability to travel domestically
(5-10%) -- Working knowledge and experience with statistical
analysis and experimental design -- Strong analytical and problem
solving skills: 8D, FMEA, DMAIC, etc. -- Clear, concise
communication and presentation skills up, down and across the
organization -- Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional
