The Engineering Technician is expected to fully understand relevant manufacturing processes. The individual is able to operate and assess processes, as well as train others to do the same. The position requires technical ability, machine troubleshooting, teamwork, communication, problem-solving skills, and the willingness to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The Technician works directly with engineering to troubleshoot, develop, experiment, and make continuous improvements. The Technician will help to train new engineers on the processes and should be able to provide in-depth explanation of the processes and tools, as well as provide historical context for both. In addition, the Technician will help track, monitor, and execute development activities on the manufacturing floor. They will work directly with the engineering team to develop a plan or make suggestions to an existing plan. They will work directly with production to communicate the intent of the plan and ensure it gets executed and tracked correctly.

The Technician also will have responsibility to the production floor to assist in training, to lend technical advice and disseminate knowledge. They will also look for ways to improve the production process and flow, whether through tool layout, SOP updates, minor equipment maintenance and the like.

In this role you will:
Perform equipment setup, operation, shutdown, and other associated process steps to meet all standards for safety, quality and efficiency.
Train and certify engineers, techs and operators on process operations utilizing all SOP's.
Analyze process and test data and correctly determine necessary actions to achieve desired quality, yield, and efficiency.
Aids engineering in manufacturing continuous improvement and new product introduction including support of new product design, process development, equipment and process validations.
Tracks, monitors and communicates status of development work orders in progress
Troubleshoot and identify potential solutions for mechanical errors, safety issues or general operating inefficiencies within the production processes.
Able to utilize computer systems to support in the material inventory movement, process transactions and quality management processes.
Able to follow specifications, work orders, and SOP's provided by Process Engineer, Development Engineer and Production Supervisor. Will also provide feedback, updates and assist in redlining same documents.
Safely follow standard operating procedures including but not limited to material handling, record keeping, process spec and ensuring all team members are adhering to proper PPE.
Notifies Process Engineer and / or Production Supervisor of any discrepancies to ensure quality standards and safety of operations are always maintained.
Excellent attention to detail, good organization, communication skills and capable of leading and directing other team members.
Able to work in team environment and cross functional teams to troubleshoot issues, identify and implement corrective actions.
Must be able to perform V & Q and Gage R & R projects supporting the engineering groups
Create and Update Standard Operating Procedures.
Adhere and promote Entegris PACE Values.
Maintain a clean work environment following all our 6S activities.
Understand and promotes Lean Manufacturing Concepts.
Performs other duties as required

Traits we believe make a strong candidate:
High School Diploma or equivalent; additional college or technical coursework preferred
Good interpersonal and communication skills to interact with operators, engineers of different team and managers.
Self-starter capable of dealing with a variety of tasks in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment.
Must be proficient in English language to be able to read documentation, communicate, and write.
Ideal candidate will have keen eye for quality, is dependable, and will work collaboratively within a team, and possess a positive attitude.
Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment.
Understanding and proficient use of Excel and other software necessary to support engineering
Mathematics - Knowledge of basic arithmetic, algebra and/or geometry.
Problem Solving - Recognizes problems and understands root cause analysis techniques/concepts.
Attends safety training sessions as required.
The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
This job requires the ability to stand for long periods.
Use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms and you must be able to move throughout the department/facility.
Able to lift 50lbs.
Able to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
