Job Description:

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:* Nonconformance (NC) and Corrective and Preventable Action (CAPA) processing / management: Interface with both internal and external suppliers concerning problems with quality assurance and ensure that effective corrective action is implemented.* As one of the Quality Notification Owners, prioritize as necessary and utilize this system to drive proactive improvements for both internal and external customers.* Develop prioritized Cost of Poor Quality Reports.* Participate / Oversee Inspection Strategies, for waste elimination, for buy and make parts.* Quality & Cost Improvement Projects: Design and implement methods for process control, process improvement, testing and inspection; Track both vendor and part performance.* Production & Process Controls: Work with engineers to analyze external and internal process data; Support improvements for incoming, in process and final inspection activities.* Auditing: Audit quality systems for deficiency identification and correction; routinely perform internal, in process and vendor audits (as necessary). * Support revision controlled QMS documentation activity.* Participate in the Material Number Item Master quality parameter enrichment process.* Participate in and potentially host both regulatory and customer on-site audits.* Process Validations: Apply total quality management tools and approaches to analytical and reporting processes within the organization.* Track and Report on Out of Box Failures for proactive quality investigation.* Track and Report on part performance for both scrap data evaluation and proactive quality investigation.* Provide information for Quality department reports as requested.* Author Department facing Work instructions for cross training and execution standardization.* Manage multiple tasks and priorities. Easily adapt to changing situations.* All other duties as assigned.EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:* BS Degree (or combination of relevant work and education) in technical, engineering or related field* 5 years' work experience in Quality Engineering or equivalent combination of education and work experience* Working knowledge of both Statistical Process Control data collection methods.* Working knowledge and experience with ISO 9001:2015* SAP or other major ERP experience required* Competence with computer applications such as Microsoft Excel, Word & PowerPoint* Excellent problem solving skills, analytical and statistical problem solving tools* Strong teamwork and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to work well with both technical and non-technical personnelVALUED BUT NOT REQUIRED:* CQE Certification (both willing and able to obtain within 18 months of employment)* CQA Lead Auditor Certification* Familiarity with ATEX (EX) directive* Experience using standard quality tools i.e. Flow Charts, Pareto Charts, Histogram, Control Charts, Ishikawa Diagram, 5 Why's, Mistake Proofing,* Six Sigma training
