Job Description:

JOB DESCRIPTION: The Senior Sonographer performs diagnostic ultrasounds and other required modalities within individual department(s). Examinations are performed independently, under physician supervision, and with peer collaboration as is appropriate. The Senior Sonographer also helps to mentor and educate all levels of staff. The Senior Sonographer possesses the applicable credentials to the departmental role. Senior Sonographer fulfills the necessary and applicable time and experience requirements related to the position. EDUCATION: Current: high school graduate or equivalent accredited ultrasound program preferred or extensive on-the-job training. Must be certified in applicable skill areas as defined for department. EXPERIENCE: Senior Sonographer possesses the required experience defined within the career ladder of the associated department. For additional Department Specific duties please see addendum document
