Job Description:
Fidelity Investments, a global leader in financial services, is
seeking a seasoned Director of Valuations to join our dynamic team
in Boston. This pivotal role is responsible for leading our
valuation team, ensuring the accurate assessment of the value of
investments held and providing strategic insights that influence
investment decisions. As Director, you will work closely with
senior management to define and execute valuation strategies across
various asset classes, enhancing our company’s position in the
market. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker with a robust
background in finance and valuations, seeking to impact the
financial landscape at one of the largest asset managers in the
world. Oversee the daily operations of the valuation team, ensuring
compliance with legal standards and company policies. Develop and
implement robust valuation models and methodologies for a variety
of assets including complex securities and derivatives. Collaborate
with cross-functional teams such as Risk, Compliance, and Fund
Management to enhance valuation processes and accuracies. Lead
periodic valuation reviews and provide detailed reports to senior
management and external regulators. Manage and mentor a team of
valuation professionals, fostering an environment of continuous
improvement and professional growth. Stay updated with regulatory
changes affecting valuations and adapt processes accordingly.
Expertise in various valuation techniques and financial modeling
Strong analytical and quantitative skills Excellent leadership and
communication skills Proficiency in financial software and
databases Ability to interpret complex financial reports Medical
Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k CFA (Chartered
Financial Analyst) or ASA (Accredited Senior Appraiser) Familiarity
with GAAP and other financial reporting standards
